Daily Surrender

"When we surrender our old nature to God that He may carry out the death sentence pronounced upon it, He accepts it in the only way He ever accepted a sacrifice, by turning it to ashes. And where the fire has been there springs from the ashes of the old life the fire lily of the beauty of Christ. As more ground is daily yielded, on the fire-swept hills of our inner life will be wrought the miracle of life out of death, and the bare slopes will burst with blossom. One unburnt hill will mean a jungle growth of grass and weeds; one valley spared will mean less Christfulness. This is the law of God - both natural and spiritual - no fire, no fire lily; no ashes, no beauty. This is the secret of the fire lily. This is the meaning of surrender." - P.E. Sharp

To Rest

Mark 6:31 New King James Version (NKJV) 31  And He said to them,  “Come aside by yourselves to a deserted place and rest a while."

To Encourage...

Hebrews 10:23-25 English Standard Version (ESV) 23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. 24 And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, 25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.
