A Heart at Peace

"God’s word tells us, “Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life.” Being the gatekeeper of our hearts means being careful what attitudes we nurse, what thoughts we allow to make paths in our minds, and what images and words we allow entertainment to deposit there. The essence of our lives springs from our hearts. When a heart is at peace, peace springs from within. When we allow anxiety, anger, or edginess to live there that is what springs forth. Our entire lives are affected by the wellspring of our hearts. Then God tells us exactly how He will guard our hearts and minds, and help us tend to the wellspring of our hearts!" - Gail Rodgers

To Encourage...

Hebrews 10:23-25 English Standard Version (ESV) 23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. 24 And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, 25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

Spiritual Significance

John 15:5 New King James Version (NKJV) 5  “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. "One day, a wise friend helped me understand this verse more fully by saying, “Apart from me you can do nothing  of spiritual significance,  nothing  of   etern al value.” - Caran Jantzen

To Stand

Ephesians 6:12-13 King James Version (KJV) 12  For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13  Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
