Straight Street - Acts 9:10-19

You might like to take time to reflect on Acts 9:10-19 from Mike's message on Sunday. What is God saying to you as an individual, and to us as a Church community? Where is God guiding you? Who is he asking you to reach out to? These can be tough questions for us all at times... but something perhaps we might need to think on? Where is your Straight Street?

Damascus

Present-day "Straight Street" in Damascus:  Blinded, Paul was taken to a house on the "Street Called Straight," where he was cared for by a man named Judas (Acts 9:11).  This street was the east-west decumanus of Roman Damascus.

To Encourage...

Hebrews 10:23-25 English Standard Version (ESV) 23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. 24 And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, 25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

Spiritual Significance

John 15:5 New King James Version (NKJV) 5  “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. "One day, a wise friend helped me understand this verse more fully by saying, “Apart from me you can do nothing  of spiritual significance,  nothing  of   etern al value.” - Caran Jantzen
