Known Him

Job 42:5New Living Translation (NLT)

I had only heard about you before,
but now I have seen you with my own eyes.

"Job’s statement in our text reminds us that we can know God in a couple of ways. We can know him through reading about him, reflecting on what others have said about him, studying him. Or we can know him through a deep personal encounter. One obvious response we might have to this is to cry out that we long to know him in this latter way. Not just know about him but to truly know him." - David Reay

To Encourage...

Hebrews 10:23-25 English Standard Version (ESV) 23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. 24 And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, 25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

Spiritual Significance

John 15:5 New King James Version (NKJV) 5  “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. "One day, a wise friend helped me understand this verse more fully by saying, “Apart from me you can do nothing  of spiritual significance,  nothing  of   etern al value.” - Caran Jantzen
