Restoration

Psalm 23:2-3 New International Version (NIV) 2 He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, 3 he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake.

In Service

"Since God has created all things and cherishes his world in which he has placed me to serve him and others, I can assume he accepts as service all I do which contributes to the wellbeing of the world. Whether such service hits the headlines or not. Whether such service comes under the umbrella of ‘Christian work’ or not." - David Reay

Trust

For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you. —Isaiah 41:13

We. Know

Romans 8:28-29 English Standard Version (ESV) 28 And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good,[a] for those who are called according to his purpose. 29 For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.

Truly

My Hope

"Waiting is connected to hope. I wait for a future I cannot bring into being; I wait for God to do what I cannot do; I wait for a ‘not yet’ that may seem like a ‘never’. My hope is that God will be faithful to his character in ways that I cannot precisely predict. I wait in the darkness clinging to hope for the dawn." - David Reay

All We Need

Hebrews 13:20-21 New Living Translation (NLT) 20 Now may the God of peace — who brought up from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great Shepherd of the sheep, and ratified an eternal covenant with his blood — 21 may he equip you with all you need for doing his will. May he produce in you,[a] through the power of Jesus Christ, every good thing that is pleasing to him. All glory to him forever and ever! Amen.

His Ways

“As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:9

Remain Faithful

"As His church, it is our individual and collective responsibility to remain faithful — immersed in His Will and Word — willingly watching and waiting for Him to return and receive us to Himself." - Allan Mitchell

Christ's Representatives

Matthew 25:37-40 New Living Translation (NLT) 37 “Then these righteous ones will reply, ‘Lord, when did we ever see you hungry and feed you? Or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 Or a stranger and show you hospitality? Or naked and give you clothing? 39 When did we ever see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ 40 “And the King will say, ‘I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters,[a] you were doing it to me!’

Never Give Up

"Never give up on the journey. Support one another with prayer, friendship, and loving care. Keep your eyes fixed on the destination. On the day you arrive, the difficulties of the journey will fall behind, and you will be knit together in the body forever in deep, loving relationship, enjoying the indescribable wonders of your new home." - Dr Guy Saffold

Prayer

Stronghold

Speak

1 Chronicles 16:23-24 New Living Translation (NLT) 23  Let the whole earth sing to the  Lord !      Each day proclaim the good news that he saves. 24  Publish his glorious deeds among the nations.      Tell everyone about the amazing things he does.

Known Him

Job 42:5 New Living Translation (NLT) 5  I had only heard about you before,      but now I have seen you with my own eyes.  "Job’s statement in our text reminds us that we can know God in a couple of ways. We can know him through reading about him, reflecting on what others have said about him, studying him. Or we can know him through a deep personal encounter. One obvious response we might have to this is to cry out that we long to know him in this latter way. Not just know about him but to truly know him." - David Reay

More of Him

Unity

"Unity begins with humility. Because Christ is the head of the church, we submit ourselves to Him. The attitude of humility undergirds everything we do. God’s word calls us to “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves” (Philippians 2:3)." - Suzanne Benner

The Focus of our Heart

Philippians 4:8-9 The Message (MSG) 8-9 Summing it all up, friends, I’d say you’ll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious—the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse. Put into practice what you learned from me, what you heard and saw and realized. Do that, and God, who makes everything work together, will work you into his most excellent harmonies.

With us

Be strong and of good courage, do not fear... for it is the Lord your God who goes with you.  -Deuteronomy 31.6

Becoming Who We Are

James 5:7-8 New Living Translation (NLT) Patience and Endurance 7 Dear brothers and sisters,[a] be patient as you wait for the Lord’s return. Consider the farmers who patiently wait for the rains in the fall and in the spring. They eagerly look for the valuable harvest to ripen. 8 You, too, must be patient. Take courage, for the coming of the Lord is near.
