Delight, Commit, Be Still

DELIGHT yourself in the Lord

When we leave our concerns with God we can rejoice in what He is going to do. Settle your heart with the knowledge that God will be all He has promised to be. Rest and find joy in the comforting pleasure that the God of the universe cares about you.

COMMIT your way to the Lord

Each day is a fresh start! When we commit our path to the Lord we can accomplish so much more as we trust His guidance.

BE STILL before the Lord

In this moment, be still and bring your fretful thoughts to God. He can speak to your heart and meet you if you only take time to come.

To Encourage...

Hebrews 10:23-25 English Standard Version (ESV) 23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. 24 And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, 25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

Spiritual Significance

John 15:5 New King James Version (NKJV) 5  “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. "One day, a wise friend helped me understand this verse more fully by saying, “Apart from me you can do nothing  of spiritual significance,  nothing  of   etern al value.” - Caran Jantzen

A Necessary Sacrifice

Hebrews 2:16-18 New Living Translation (NLT) 16 We also know that the Son did not come to help angels; he came to help the descendants of Abraham. 17 Therefore, it was necessary for him to be made in every respect like us, his brothers and sisters,[a] so that he could be our merciful and faithful High Priest before God. Then he could offer a sacrifice that would take away the sins of the people. 18 Since he himself has gone through suffering and testing, he is able to help us when we are being tested.
