Trust in His Plan

Proverbs 3:5-6New International Version (NIV)

Trust in the Lord with all your heart
    and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to him,
    and he will make your paths straight.

"More often than not, our problems with guidance are actually problems with obedience. The most challenging part of following Jesus is not so much figuring out what he might want us to do, but getting down to doing what he wants us to do. True, there are times of puzzlement for us, when we are at a crossroads and unsure of the best path. But most of our life isn’t spent at crossroads....This doesn’t mean all is always crystal clear. It simply means we can trust God not to lead us up the garden path. We can get things wrong. God never does." - David Reay

To Encourage...

Hebrews 10:23-25 English Standard Version (ESV) 23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. 24 And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, 25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

Spiritual Significance

John 15:5 New King James Version (NKJV) 5  “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. "One day, a wise friend helped me understand this verse more fully by saying, “Apart from me you can do nothing  of spiritual significance,  nothing  of   etern al value.” - Caran Jantzen

A Necessary Sacrifice

Hebrews 2:16-18 New Living Translation (NLT) 16 We also know that the Son did not come to help angels; he came to help the descendants of Abraham. 17 Therefore, it was necessary for him to be made in every respect like us, his brothers and sisters,[a] so that he could be our merciful and faithful High Priest before God. Then he could offer a sacrifice that would take away the sins of the people. 18 Since he himself has gone through suffering and testing, he is able to help us when we are being tested.
