Joy

"There is a joy that is attained and another joy that is given. The first joy needs things to make it joy - congenial circumstances, attentive friends; the second joy joys because it is filled with a bubbling spring of internal and eternal gladness - a gladness because it is always in God, and God is always in it. It glows and grows under all circumstances - it sings because it is a song." - Springs in the Valley (June 20)

To Encourage...

Hebrews 10:23-25 English Standard Version (ESV) 23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. 24 And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, 25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

Spiritual Significance

John 15:5 New King James Version (NKJV) 5  “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. "One day, a wise friend helped me understand this verse more fully by saying, “Apart from me you can do nothing  of spiritual significance,  nothing  of   etern al value.” - Caran Jantzen
