Giving Our Hearts...

"At the end of the day, we all want to be “held up” and held together by the Head, “growing with a growth that is from God”…not to be the one to be holding our own worlds together with our own driveness, calling man-made effort true success or maturity. We want to be free. And freedom is not being bound by the fickle esteem of a fan club, but knowing that the little we give our hearts to is “…as unto the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord we will receive an inheritance as our reward. We are serving the Lord Jesus Christ.” (Col.3: 23-24)" - Havilah Angle

To Encourage...

Hebrews 10:23-25 English Standard Version (ESV) 23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. 24 And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, 25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

Spiritual Significance

John 15:5 New King James Version (NKJV) 5  “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. "One day, a wise friend helped me understand this verse more fully by saying, “Apart from me you can do nothing  of spiritual significance,  nothing  of   etern al value.” - Caran Jantzen

A Necessary Sacrifice

Hebrews 2:16-18 New Living Translation (NLT) 16 We also know that the Son did not come to help angels; he came to help the descendants of Abraham. 17 Therefore, it was necessary for him to be made in every respect like us, his brothers and sisters,[a] so that he could be our merciful and faithful High Priest before God. Then he could offer a sacrifice that would take away the sins of the people. 18 Since he himself has gone through suffering and testing, he is able to help us when we are being tested.
