Rational Faith

2 Corinthians 5:7

Good News Translation (GNT)
For our life is a matter of faith, not of sight.

Faith is taking God at His word. Faith is not belief without evidence. It is belief on the very best on evidence - the Word of Him "that cannot lie" (Titus 1:2). Faith is so rational that it asks no other evidence than this all-sufficient evidence. To ask other than the Word of Him who cannot lie is not rationalism, but consummate irrationalism. - R.A. Torrey

To Encourage...

Hebrews 10:23-25 English Standard Version (ESV) 23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. 24 And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, 25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.
