Prayer Before Panic

Here's a little inspirational story we were given by one of our Sundays@Six team members this week. It's a nice reflection on how important and vital prayer should be in our lives.

I had cause to pray for a friend of mine recently as she was very worried about something.
After I prayed, she commented that sometimes she forgets to pray when she's worried.
I agreed that I often do the same thing but that we should all try to remember
"prayer before panic" as we tend to do it the other way round.
We panic and worry, then eventually we remember to pray.
The line "prayer before panic" just came to me, but I think it's something we can all try to remember.

To Encourage...

Hebrews 10:23-25 English Standard Version (ESV) 23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. 24 And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, 25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

Spiritual Significance

John 15:5 New King James Version (NKJV) 5  “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. "One day, a wise friend helped me understand this verse more fully by saying, “Apart from me you can do nothing  of spiritual significance,  nothing  of   etern al value.” - Caran Jantzen

To Stand

Ephesians 6:12-13 King James Version (KJV) 12  For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13  Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
