Stay on Track

Philippians 4:1 The Message (MSG) 4 My dear, dear friends! I love you so much. I do want the very best for you. You make me feel such joy, fill me with such pride. Don’t waver. Stay on track, steady in God.

Have Faith

Thanks to God

2 Corinthians 9:11-12 English Standard Version (ESV) 11  You will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way, which through us will produce thanksgiving to God.  12  For the ministry of this service is not only supplying the needs of the saints but is also overflowing in many thanksgivings to God.

Ask

Honour Him

Psalm 46:10 New Living Translation (NLT) 10  “Be still, and know that I am God!      I will be honoured by every nation.      I will be honoured throughout the world.”

To Stand

Ephesians 6:12-13 New King James Version (NKJV) 12  For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual  hosts  of wickedness in the heavenly  places. 13  Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

The Pathway

Genesis 24:27 King James Version (KJV) 27  And he said, Blessed be the Lord God of my master Abraham, who hath not left destitute my master of his mercy and his truth: I being in the way, the Lord led me to the house of my master's brethren. '"The way" means God's way, the pathway prepared for us; not our own way; not any kind of way (Prov. 14:12); not man's way; but the direct way of duty and command. In such a way the Lord will be sure to lead and guide us. The Lord answered the servant's prayer exactly as he prayed, step by step." - Springs in the Valley (January 27)

Step Out

All Things

Sing

Thirsting for Him

John 4: 13-14 Jesus answered, “Those who drink this water will get thirsty again, but those who drink the water that I will give them will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give them will become in them a spring which will provide them with life-giving water and give them eternal life.”

Wisdom

James 1:5 New King James Version (NKJV) 5  If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.

Trust Him

Ephesians 2:8-10 The Message (MSG) 7-10  Now God has us where he wants us, with all the time in this world and the next to shower grace and kindness upon us in Christ Jesus. Saving is all his idea, and all his work. All we do is trust him enough to let him do it. It’s God’s gift from start to finish! We don’t play the major role. If we did, we’d probably go around bragging that we’d done the whole thing! No, we neither make nor save ourselves. God does both the making and saving. He creates each of us by Christ Jesus to join him in the work he does, the good work he has gotten ready for us to do, work we had better be doing.

In Him

Ephesians 1:11-14 New King James Version (NKJV) 11  In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will,  12  that we who first trusted in Christ should be to the praise of His glory. 13  In Him you also  trusted,  after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise,  14  who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.

Take the Risk

“Who can save a child from a burning house without taking the risk of being burnt by the flames? Who can listen to a story of loneliness and despair and not take the risk of experiencing similar pains? Who can take away suffering without enduring it? The great illusion of leadership is to think that others can be led out of the desert by someone who has never been there.” - Henri Nouwen

Stepping Out

Equipped

Hebrews 13:21 New Living Translation (NLT) 21  may he equip you with all you need      for doing his will. May he produce in you, [ a ]      through the power of Jesus Christ, every good thing that is pleasing to him.      All glory to him forever and ever! Amen.

Looking to God

Psalm 119:15-16 New Living Translation (NLT) 15  I will study your commandments      and reflect on your ways. 16  I will delight in your decrees      and not forget your word.

His Way

"It is only in a close, deep and ongoing relationship with God that we can experience the feeling of being moved and valued, and our lives find meaning to such a degree that we are enabled to function properly age effectively in the way God intended." - Mick Brooks

All things

Philippians 2:14-16 New King James Version (NKJV) 14  Do all things without complaining and disputing,  15  that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world,  16  holding fast the word of life, so that I may rejoice in the day of Christ that I have not run in vain or labored in vain.

Desire to Obey

Psalm 119:129-133 Good News Translation (GNT) 129 Your teachings are wonderful; I obey them with all my heart. 130 The explanation of your teachings gives light and brings wisdom to the ignorant. 131 In my desire for your commands I pant with open mouth. 132 Turn to me and have mercy on me as you do on all those who love you. 133 As you have promised, keep me from falling; don't let me be overcome by evil.

Setting Our Hope

2 Corinthians 1:8-11 New International Version (NIV) 8 ...We were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired of life itself. ...But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead. 10 He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us again. On him we have set our hope that he will continue to deliver us, 11 as you help us by your prayers. Then many will give thanks on our behalf for the gracious favor granted us in answer to the prayers of many.

For God...

The Light

"We draw people to Christ not by loudly discrediting what they believe, by telling them how wrong they are and how right we are, but by showing them a light that is so lovely that they want with all their hearts to know the source of it." - David Reay

Wait on Him

We are ambassadors...

2 Corinthians 5:19-20 New King James Version (NKJV) 19  that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. 20  Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore  you  on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God.

Taking Care of Ourselves

Acts 20:28 New International Version (NIV) 28  Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God, [ a ]  which he bought with his own blood. [ b ]

What's important

"Paul wrote, "All things are lawful for me, but not all things are helpful ... " (1 Cor. 10:23). Some things are not wrong, but they're just not necessary. They waste time. We might not have time to pursue every dream, so we must choose to spend time on what's important." - Tommy Barnett

In His Hands

He is Greater

Ask

Matthew 7:7 New International Version (NIV) 7 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you."

Restored

Psalm 23:2-3 English Standard Version (ESV) 2 He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters.[a] 3 He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness[b] for his name's sake.

By Our Side

"Our life in Jesus is a journey. There are seasons along the way, and the landscape we encounter will change. But one thing does not change: the ongoing companionship of our God. Paul suggests this God is with us at the beginning, and won’t leave our side till that time when Jesus ushers in the new heavens and new earth. And then, of course, God continues to fill our days forever." - David Reay

The Needs of Others

Matthew 20:16 New International Version (NIV) 16  “So the last will be first, and the first will be last.” "Where does our significance lie? Is it in having a successful career and following our dreams and passions? While that is not insignificant, it doesn't  make us significant. We are each significant because we've been created, redeemed by Christ, and adopted into His family. That’s where our true worth is found. And the most significant work, Jesus reminds us, is to serve others, even when it means we remain unseen or get no gratitude. With Jesus in the lead, we’re invited to the all-important work of daily looking to the needs of others before our own." - Michael Jantzen

Hearts Awaken

Hope

Colossians 1:5 Good News Translation (GNT) 5 When the true message, the Good News, first came to you, you heard about the hope it offers. So your faith and love are based on what you hope for, which is kept safe for you in heaven.

Dependence

"You can achieve the victorious life through living in deep dependence on Me. People usually associate victory with success: not falling or stumbling, not making mistakes. But those who are successful in their own strength tend to go their own way, forgetting about Me. It is through problems and failure, weakness and neediness, that you learn to rely upon Me." - Jesus Calling (January 5)

For Him

"Daily, we have the opportunity to receive the best He has to offer. In repentance and humility, the full measure of the Spirit can work within us to help us use our gifts to serve others and glorify God." - Caran Jantzen

Meeting needs

"World changers don't set out to change the world; they see one need and do what they can to meet it." - Kristen Welch, Rhinestone Jesus

A New Song

Psalm 98:1-3 NIV 1 Sing to the Lord a new song, for he has done marvelous things; his right hand and his holy arm have worked salvation for him. 2 The Lord has made his salvation known and revealed his righteousness to the nations. 3 He has remembered his love and his faithfulness to Israel; all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

Something New

I am the  Lord , who opened a way through the waters, making a dry path through the sea. “But forget all that— it is nothing compared to what I am going to do. For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland. Isaiah 43:16, 18-19   NLT
