His purpose and grace...

2 Timothy 1:9-10 New International Version (NIV) 9  He has saved  us and called  us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done  but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time,   10  but it has now been revealed  through the appearing of our Savior, Christ Jesus,  who has destroyed death and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.

A prayer for healing...

Psalm 6:2-4 New International Version (NIV) 2  Have mercy on me,   Lord , for I am faint;      heal me,   Lord , for my bones are in agony. 3  My soul is in deep anguish.      How long,   Lord , how long? 4  Turn,   Lord , and deliver me;      save me because of your unfailing love.

The New is Here

2 Corinthians 5:11-6:2 New International Version (NIV) The Ministry of Reconciliation 11  Since, then, we know what it is to fear the Lord,  we try to persuade others. What we are is plain to God, and I hope it is also plain to your conscience. 12  We are not trying to commend ourselves to you again,  but are giving you an opportunity to take pride in us,  so that you can answer those who take pride in what is seen rather than in what is in the heart.   13  If we are “out of our mind,” as some say, it is for God; if we are in our right mind, it is for you.   14  For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died.   15  And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves  but for him who died for them  and was raised again. 16  So from now on we regard no one from a worldly  point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way,...

With All Your heart...

Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ Matthew 22:37-39   NIV

In Love

Ephesians 3:16-19 Good News Translation (GNT) 16  I ask God from the wealth of his glory to give you power through his Spirit to be strong in your inner selves,   17  and I pray that Christ will make his home in your hearts through faith. I pray that you may have your roots and foundation in love,   18  so that you, together with all God's people, may have the power to understand how broad and long, how high and deep, is Christ's love.   19  Yes, may you come to know his love—although it can never be fully known—and so be completely filled with the very nature of God.

Seek Him

"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the  Lord , “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." -  Jeremiah 29:11-13   NIV

Remember Christ

"When you’re facing a situation where you’ve done all you can and still have fallen short, remember Christ. What an amazing opportunity it is to get a shadow of a glimpse of Jesus must have when He lived an entire life of sinless perfection, only to be condemned for all the sins we have done." - Thomas Pujol

Pursuing your gifts

" Jesus said to love our neighbors as ourselves. What would our love look like if we did just that and really, truly loved ourselves well? The positive ripple effect of this love and joy would be noticeable, making us better neighbours,  better wives, moms, friends and co-workers. Making time for our gifts is something worth fighting for because when we take that time — we reflect the generous beauty and giving heart of our Creator." - Jessica Turner, aholyexperience.com

Everlasting Arms

"By grace alone somehow I stand Where even angels fear to tread Invited by redeeming love Before the throne of God above He pulls me close with nail-scarred hands Into His everlasting arms..." - Rend Collective

The Purposes of His Heart

Psalm 33:11 New International Version (NIV) 11  But the plans of the Lord stand firm  forever,      the purposes  of his heart through all generations.

Remember

Deuteronomy 8:1-3 New International Version (NIV) Do Not Forget the  Lord 8  Be careful to follow every command I am giving you today, so that you may live  and increase and may enter and possess the land the  Lord  promised on oath to your ancestors.   2  Remember how the  Lord  your God led  you all the way in the wilderness these forty years, to humble and test  you in order to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep his commands.   3  He humbled  you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna,  which neither you nor your ancestors had known, to teach  you that man does not live on bread  alone but on every word that comes from the mouth  of the  Lord .

God's Plan

Colossians 1:27 Good News Translation (GNT) 27  God's plan is to make known his secret to his people, this rich and glorious secret which he has for all peoples. And the secret is that Christ is in you, which means that you will share in the glory of God.

Stay Faithful

"We can get rather preoccupied about what might happen in the future. About the vast and complex issues facing our world. And in so doing, we get distracted from what we are to do at this very moment. Jesus warns his followers not to get preoccupied with details of his return. Trying to figure all that out is an exercise in futility. Our task is not to do the fine calculations and sometimes bizarre speculation as to the return of Jesus. Our task is to stay at our posts and be faithful." - David Reay

To Conquer

Romans 8:35-37 New International Version (NIV) 35  Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?  Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?  36  As it is written: “For your sake we face death all day long;      we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.” 37  No, in all these things we are more than conquerors  through him who loved us.

His Law

Psalm 119:89-93 Good News Translation (GNT) Faith in the Law of the   Lord 89  Your word, O   Lord , will last forever;      it is eternal in heaven. 90  Your faithfulness endures through all the ages;      you have set the earth in place, and it remains. 91  All things remain to this day because of your command,      because they are all your servants. 92  If your law had not been the source of my joy,      I would have died from my sufferings. 93  I will never neglect your instructions,      because by them you have kept me alive.

To Love

"The reward of loving is in the loving; loving is  itself  the great outcome of loving... The value of loving is in the value of  being like Christ."  - Ann Voskamp

As Loving as He

"We are all common clay - plain earthenware, but if the love of Christ is kept in our hearts it will sweeten all our life, and we shall become as loving as He" - Springs in the Valley (February 15)

A Seed of Faith

Matthew 17:20-21 New International Version (NIV) 20  He replied,  “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith  as small as a mustard seed,  you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move.  Nothing will be impossible for you.”

The Lord Reigns

Psalm 99 New International Version (NIV) 1 The Lord reigns, let the nations tremble; he sits enthroned between the cherubim, let the earth shake. 2 Great is the Lord in Zion; he is exalted over all the nations. 3 Let them praise your great and awesome name— he is holy. 4 The King is mighty, he loves justice— you have established equity; in Jacob you have done what is just and right. 5 Exalt the Lord our God and worship at his footstool; he is holy. 6 Moses and Aaron were among his priests, Samuel was among those who called on his name; they called on the Lord and he answered them. 7 He spoke to them from the pillar of cloud; they kept his statutes and the decrees he gave them. 8 Lord our God, you answered them; you were to Israel a forgiving God, though you punished their misdeeds.[a] 9 Exalt the Lord our God and worship at his holy mountain, for the Lord our God is holy

Take the Chance

Be the Change

"God uses people to change the world.  People! Not saints, superhumans, or geniuses but people." - Max Lucado

By His Power

Job 26:12-14 New International Version (NIV) 12  By his power he churned up the sea;      by his wisdom   he cut Rahab   to pieces. 13  By his breath the skies   became fair;      his hand pierced the gliding serpent. 14  And these are but the outer fringe of his works;      how faint the whisper   we hear of him!      Who then can understand the thunder of his power?”

Call to Him

" Just Call to Me. I guarantee I will answer you. I will make you strong & brave and courageous .” - Jeremiah 33:3 MSG

He Will Deliver

1 Samuel 7:3 New International Version (NIV) 3  So Samuel said to all the Israelites, “If you are returning   to the   Lord   with all your hearts, then rid   yourselves of the foreign gods and the Ashtoreths   and commit   yourselves to the   Lord   and serve him only,   and he will deliver   you out of the hand of the Philistines.”

Not Afraid

"Be not afraid of the winding way if God turns you into it. Travel the road He points out to you! God brings men to His consummations only by His own road." - Springs in the Valley (February 9)

In Love

1 Corinthians 13:3 New Century Version (NCV) 3  I may give away everything I have, and I may even give my body as an offering to be burned. But I gain nothing if I do not have love.

Praise Him

Psalm 148:14 New Century Version (NCV) 14  God has given his people a king.      He should be praised by all who belong to him;      he should be praised by the Israelites, the people closest to his heart. Praise the  Lord !

Drenched in Love

" Jesus isn’t just baptized in water — He’s baptized in love. Drenched in the divine delight.  Immersed in the holy affection of God. The same baptism you and I are invited into. Not just when we become followers of Christ,  but each day. Each hour. Each moment. We are meant to live as those who  drip with God’s love."  -  Margaret Feunberg

Grace

To Live

Exodus 20:12 New Century Version (NCV) 12  Honor your father and your mother so that you will live a long time in the land that the  Lord  your God is going to give you.

Humility

Believe

Mark 9:23 King James Version (KJV) 23  Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. "Do not let us lose our chance of believing by waiting until the dawn has broken into the day!" - Lilias Trotter
